The model CT-12 windrow compost turner is a heavily built, dependable, pull-type machine. The CT-12 is an oversized machine which must be disassembled before moving over public highways. With an output capacity of 1,800-2,100 cubic yards per hour, the CT-12 is the recommended machine for sites producing more than 10,000 tons of finished compost per year. The CT-12 has a working height of 72 inches and a width of 142 inches. The drum is constructed of a thick wall and is equipped with 72 hard-faced plow steel teeth. The model CT-10 windrow compost turner is a rugged and dependable pull-type machine. The CT-10 can easily be towed on public highways by folding in the outer wing and removing the outer gage wheel. The CT-10 can also be disassembled quickly for long-haul transportation. With an output capacity of 1,500-1,700 cubic yards per hour, the CT-10 is the preferred machine for sites producing less than 10,000 tons of finished compost per year. The CT-10 has a working height of 60 inches and a width of 118 inches. The drum is constructed of a thick wall and is equipped with 60 hard-faced plow steel teeth. HCL Water Trailer
Moisture is an important component in the composting cycle. In addition to oxygen, the metabolic processes of microorganisms require an adequate amount of hydration. The HCL water trailer complements our turners by providing the necessary flow of water to the water manifold and, ultimately, to the hydrating spray nozzles. For additional information regarding compost hydration, visit the following water fact sheet. HCL stocks three-foot compost thermometers to assist in controlling the temperature of a pile. For more information pertaining to compost temperatures, please see the following temperature fact sheet.
